Grid

Nuclear integrated into the grid.

Grid integrates Zeklar reactors into the power grid as firm, dispatchable capacity: modular generation that follows demand, with licensing, market and operations handled in one stack. The program treats nuclear as a grid asset, not an island.

02The problem

Renewables need a firm base

As solar and wind grow, grids lose inertia and dispatchable capacity, and the old gas plants that fill the gap must be retired. Modular nuclear can supply the firm base and follow load, but only if the reactor speaks the grid operator's language: dispatch, ancillary-services market and safety constraints handled together, not in separate silos.

03What it does04
01

FORGE dispatchable generation

Modular FORGE reactors able to follow load and provide synchronous inertia to the grid. Capacity is added in blocks, tracking demand growth.

02

PULSE dispatch

PULSE connects the reactors to the grid operator and the ancillary-services market, offering power and regulation within safety limits. Every dispatch set-point is validated before it is accepted.

03

AEGIS fleet licensing

AEGIS manages the license of a fleet of modules as a single program, reusing the certified design at each new site. Adding a module becomes an extension, not a fresh application.

04

TERRA grid siting

TERRA locates the sites where grid capacity, environmental constraints and local demand line up. Site selection starts from the nodes where the grid actually needs firm power.

04How it works04 STEPS
01

Grid study

We analyze nodes, constraints and market with TERRA to find where firm capacity is worth most.

02

Fleet licensing

We take the certified design through AEGIS as a fleet program, site after site.

03

Connection

We connect the modules to the grid and integrate PULSE with dispatch and the services market.

04

Fleet scale

We add modules at priority nodes, reusing the licensing and dispatch already in service.

05Deployment

Fleet licensing site after site

AEGIS takes the certified design through licensing as a fleet program: adding a module becomes an extension, not a fresh application, reusing the same design at each new node.

Connection and dispatch

Connection of modules to the grid and integration of PULSE with the transmission operator and the ancillary-services market, with every dispatch set-point validated within safety limits before it is accepted.

Fleet scale at priority nodes

Addition of modules at nodes where TERRA finds grid capacity, constraints and demand line up, reusing the licensing and dispatch already in service.

06Security & compliance

Safety-validated set-points

PULSE offers power and regulation to the ancillary-services market only within the reactor's safety limits: every dispatch set-point is validated before acceptance, so load-following never erodes the margins.

Consistent fleet licensing

AEGIS manages the license of multiple modules as one program with the national nuclear safety authority, reusing the certified design: one site's compliance strengthens the next instead of starting over.

Boundary with the grid operator

The interface with the TSO and SCADA/EMS dispatch systems runs through a controlled boundary per the grid codes, without exposing the reactor's safety systems to the energy market.

08FAQ

Can a reactor follow load like a gas plant?

Yes. Modular FORGE reactors can follow load and provide synchronous inertia to the grid, supplying the firm base and regulation that solar and wind don't. PULSE validates every dispatch move within safety limits before accepting it.

Do you need a fresh license for each module?

No. AEGIS manages the fleet as a single licensing program, reusing the certified design at each site. Adding a module becomes an extension of the existing license rather than a fresh application, so capacity grows in blocks without starting over each time.

How do you decide where to place the modules?

TERRA locates the nodes where grid capacity, environmental constraints and local demand line up, so site selection starts from where the grid actually needs firm power, not from assumptions.

Does it integrate with the ancillary-services market?

Yes. PULSE connects the reactors to the grid operator and the SCADA/EMS dispatch systems, offering power and regulation to the ancillary-services market within safety limits. Nuclear becomes a full grid asset, not an island.
